This is a really good, affordable Italian restaurant on the upper east side near the MET and Central Park (cnr Madison Ave). Open for lunch and dinner

The food is great, the atmosphere is “local/neighborhood” and the service is friendly and attentive. The building is a townhouse so there is upstairs. If you want a downstairs table, best make a reservation. There is a bar upfront so if you are on your own, you can sit there. The wine list is good too with many Italian options and many varieties by the glass
